Team retreats
and offsites

A great place for small groups

Treat your small team to an offsite in a coworking space on our remarkable island. Enjoy an intimate coworking setting for groups of up to 12 to do big picture thinking or focus on a project. And when work is done, enjoy the restaurants, wineries, brew pubs, and natural beauty of the island. We are a 20-minute walk from the ferry to Seattle, easily accessible by downtown or Eastside companies. A 10-minute walk gets you to waterfront restaurants. Or grab lunch from one of six restaurants on site inside the Pavilion!

Call to let us help you plan your event, 206-780-2177, or call Leslie directly once you have your dates for a quick consult.

THERAPY, COACHING

Show and Listen

A large TV monitor projects your visuals; two large wall-mounted glass boards and a moveable tripod whiteboard (which also holds flip charts) will capture the ideas you generate.

Some work, some play

If you need a playful movement break, we have a library of VR games and the tech to power them. Or we can quickly reconfigure the tables for an old-school ping pong tournament. Talk to us if interested; we’ll be happy to set it up with some lead time.

Fresh air for the team

Just getting away is a big win, but you’ll also be immersed in natural light on three sides. And if the weather is nice, you won’t miss the fresh air; just leave the door to the spacious deck wide open! Or step out for a break with a boxed lunch or afternoon drinks. You are welcome to bring your own nibbles and drinks, or there are six restaurants on site offering cuisine from Mexico, Vietnam, Japan, India/Nepal, and the Mediterranean. For the after-party, there’s a wonderful “Cheers” style steak and whiskey bar downstairs, called The Islander.

Available any time

The space is open and hosted during business hours 8:30am-5:00pm M-F and available by arrangement for evenings and weekends (make sure you speak to someone to get your code key for after-hours access).

We can set up tables and chairs to your preferences, or you can move them around yourself as you see fit. Please include time for set up and tear down in your reservation and let us know what support you need from us.

Getting Here

The coworking space, OfficeXpats, is in the Bainbridge Pavilion, just a 15-minute walk from the Bainbridge ferry, and a 35-minute boat ride from downtown Seattle. You can arrange with us for ferry pickup for four people at a time (and we are happy to make a few trips). For those who arrive by car, there is plenty of free parking in the Pavilion lot.

Our coworking space is on the second floor of the Pavilion, accessible by stairs and an elevator. The Event room is in the back corner of the space, with plenty of privacy and access to the deck.

Plan your Event

Give us a call, 206-780-2177 (or call Leslie, the co-owner, directly at 206-355-9636) to explore your options or ask questions at any time. If you already have a date set for your event, check our calendar and be sure that the Event room is available. If a short meeting is already booked on your day, we may be able to move it (feel free to ask). When you are ready, go ahead and create an account, then reserve the Event room for your team event. We can also help you find tours or adventures to supplement your time on the island!

To Do After Work

To help inspire your team getaway, here are are some good general resource: Bainbridgeisland.com, Visit Bainbridge, and Bainbridge Island Parks and Trails. To arrange for transportation or tours, try Tour Bainbridge.

Here are a few of our favorite outings:

  • The Grand Forest and Gazzam Lake are good destinations for walking/hiking trails.

  • Blakely Harbor Park has walking trails and a graffiti-covered building that is a draw for artists from around the region. Bring your camera!

  • Bloedel Reserve is 150 acres of woodlands, meadows, and landscaped gardens.

  • Halls Hill Lookout and Labyrinth is a meditative space overlooking Blakely Harbor. A bronze prayer wheel in the Tibetan tradition rings softly as the wheel completes seven revolutions. A 36-foot diameter stone mosaic labyrinth uses color, symbols, patterns, and numerology in the design created from stones found on Bainbridge Island beaches.

  • Pickleball was invented on Bainbridge and is now a national phenomenon.
